May Day Crafting

We had a great day crafting today! Since it is May Day the little ones made ribbon wands and flower crowns and the older kids worked with wool roving to make wet felt beads and strung them on a bracelet.
These are so much fun and there's just so much you can make with the beads! Have you ever wet felted before? Wool is such a wonderful and versatile fiber. When hot water and agitation is applied the fibers lock together to created a solid and sturdy surface.

I'll be making next week's crafting schedule tomorrow and will post it here. I hope you'll be able to join us!

  1. Their crowns are beautiful. I also love the ribbon wands. Great May Day craft.
